LARRY GLENN WOODS

Glen Woods, age 70 of Clinchco passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022 at his home. Born in Dickenson County he was a son of the late Stanford “Dock” and Imogene Boyd Woods. He was of the Baptist faith and was a coal miner for 20 plus years ending his career at McClure #1 mines. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife and soul mate of fifty years, Lois Powers Woods, and mother and father in-law, Minnie and Woodrow Powers.
Survivors include a daughter, Jessica (Mike) Mullins of Haysi and son, Larry Stanford Woods, Clinchco; two grandchildren, Sarah Danielle Adkins, Bristol, Tenn. and Austin Stan Woods, Haysi; step-grandson, Shannon (Emily) Mullins of NC; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Grayson Woods; step great-grandchild, Evie Johnson; one brother, Don (Laura) Woods, Clinchco; one sister, Wanda Kay Rasnake, Pounding Mill; special daughter in-law, Judy Woods; special cousin and best friend, Timothy Woods, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, also survive.
Funeral services were conducted 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders, Noah Kim Edwards and Garnell Gilbert officiating. The family received friends after 6 p.m. prior to the funeral service. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at the Woods-Branham Cemetery, Clinchco. Pallbearers will be Mike Mullins, Stan Woods, Tim Woods, Jayden Woods, Peyton Owens, Austin Woods, Chris Powers and Brian Powers. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
