JUDY MCKINNEY

Judy McKinney age 67, passed away Monday, February 21, 2022, at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Ky. She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and graduated from Ervinton High School. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. McKinney attended Old Dominion University and Mountain Empire Community College. She worked at the Dickenson County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Census Bureau and AT&T Communications. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. McKinney was preceded in death by her husband, Cicero McKinney; mother, Maxie Moore and son, Kody McKinney.

Survivors include her son, Walter McKinney and Loretta of Clinchco; daughter, Amber McKinney of Clinchco; brother, Ervin Moore of Dante; grandchildren, Scott McKinney, Kayte Counts, Shay Counts, and Rita McKinney and great-grandchild, Gunner McKinney.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, February, 26, 1 p.m. at the Buffalo Freewill Baptist Church with James Moore officiating. Burial followed in the Moore Family Cemetery, Nora.
