‘LILLIAN’ VIVIAN GENEVIEVE HAY

With profound sadness, we are heartbroken to share the passing of “Lillian” Vivian Genevieve Hay, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend. On February 5, 2022 she went home to be with the Lord after a full, blessed life of 93 years. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Lillian was born in Clinchco on May 1, 1928 and graduated from Haysi High School. She was a devout Christian and a charter member of Yates Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Lillian loved the Lord and lived her life being a light for him. All who knew her, loved her because of her sweet, humble spirit. Lillian was gentle, genuine, self-less, and hardworking. She lived her life taking care of her family and instilling good values in her children and grandchildren. Her servant heart was a model for others to follow. Lillian enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking for her family, working crossword puzzles, and reading her bible.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Fleecia Price and Starlin Price; daughter, Nancy Sluss; son, Robbie Hay; sisters, Sharon Mosher and Mary Lee Finley; brothers, Ira Price and Jimmie Price; half-brothers, Walter B. Hay and Johnnie Hay.
Lillian is survived by her daughters, Cheryl and Danny Bihl (deceased) of Mart, Tex., Brenda and Patrick Reynolds(deceased) of Clintwood, Patty and Jack Mullins of Mooresburg, Tenn.; her son, Russell Hay of Clintwood; her daughter-in-law, Tammy Hay of Bluff City, Tenn.; her son-in-law, Paul Sluss of Clintwood; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Hayes of NC; brothers, Mack Price of Fl., Emmett Price of Oh. and Roger Price of Tenn.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, February 9th from 4-6 p.m. at Clintwood Funeral Home. There will be a small service at 6 p.m. The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 10th at the Sluss Cemetery on Caney Ridge. Matthew Mullins and Lester Mullins will be officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to send a special thank you to her friends and caregivers, Juanita Blevins and Sherlene Mullins.
