MICHAEL EARL STEELE

Michael Earl Steele of Greenbrier Road, passed away December 2, 2022 at his home at the age of 48. He was born April 22, 1974 in Chicago, Il.. He was the son of Earl and Beatrice (Deel) Steele of Haysi. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Tommy and Lou Vernie Steele; his maternal grandparents, Vester Deel and Lois Belcher; his aunt, Emma Lou Deel; his uncles, Leroy Steele, Roland Rife; cousins, Cody Robert, Terry Bevins, and Lindsey Deel Jr.; aunt, Bernice Hall; uncle, Lindsey Deel; brother-in-law, Ricky Mullins and special companion, Betty Vance.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Hailey Steele of Haysi; stepdaughter, Brook Vance, Hurley; son, Jaden Earl Steele of Haysi; sister, Tammy Mullins, Clintwood; three nephews, Mason and wife Alisha Mullins, Brycen Mullins, Parker Mullins, all of Clintwood; several aunts, uncles, cousins, special friends, Danni Rae O’quinn, Ken O’quinn, and Kenny Deel, special cousins, John Fuller and Johnnie Fuller.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders, Roger Coleman and Mark Justice officiating. Burial will follow in the Oquinn-Deel Cemetery, Greenbrier Road, Haysi. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family received friends on Tuesday, November 6, 2022 after 6 p.m., at the funeral home where an evening service was held at 7 p.m. with Pastor, Bill Rose officiating. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
