MICHAEL VAUGHN CANTRELL

CLINTWOOD - Michael Vaughn Cantrell age 64, passes away Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tenn. Mr. Cantrell was a graduate of Wise High School and a surface coal miner for over 40 years, employed by Alpha Metallurgical Services. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed being with his family and friends. He was kind to all and loved his K9 companions.

Mr. Cantrell was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Nora Mullins Cantrell.

Survivors include his wife, Molly Cantrell of Clintwood; son, Dennis M. Cantrell of Wise; brothers, Ronnie Cantrell and Becky of Abingdon, John Cantrell and Gail of Wise and Clarence Cantrell also of Wise; his sister, Wanda Meade and Eddie of Pound; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family and friends were requested to meet at Clintwood Funeral Home Friday, July 15, 1:30 p.m. to go in procession to Phipps Memorial Cemetery for a graveside service at 2 p.m. Pastor Joe Hutchinson officiated.
