DELORIS CARTY

CLINTWOOD - Deloris Carty 93 gained her heavenly wings on July 17, 2022 in Kingsport, Tenn. She was born March 29, 1929 in Wise, to Hardy and Cynthia Mullins. Deloris was a homemaker much of her life, having spent 66 years married to Larkin Carty. She was a devoted Christian who loved her church family at Rachels Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larkin Carty; siblings, including her twin Cloey, Jean Conley, Thelma Proffitt, Tennie, Hercel and Billy Mullins. Four of her children preceded her, Mickey, Gary, Avery, Elmer Carty, and Zelma McKenzie.

Left to cherish her memories are her surviving siblings Joyce (Thurl) Mullins, Marline Brooks, Johnnie Mullins and Jequeta Briskey. Her remaining beloved children will miss her, Troy (Tammy), Freddie, Sammy (Gail) and Bobby Carty. She is survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice, Wexford House, Jennifer Stillwell, and Charles Mills for their care during her illness.

Services were held at Clintwood Colley Funeral Home Tuesday the 19 at 7 p.m, visitation began at 5. Burial will take place Wednesday the 20 with the procession leaving the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. to proceed to Pleasant Home Kennedy Cemetery for a 1 p.m. graveside service.
